I’m a photographer based in Solvorn, Norway. This website is for showcasing my work and promote services I can provide. I love going out in nature and capturing the beauty around me. I’ve also come to love making portraits. My website will be mainly about showcasing my very best work and complete projects. Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to see more frequent and more informal photos. You can find the links in top right.

In the world of AI, I feel like it’s important to be open about it’s usage. In my photography it’s against my own philosophy to use AI or Photoshop to create any new elements in a photo. This means I’m not going to replace the sky with a nicer looking light, fill the sky with an aurora that was not there when I took the photo. My own idea about photography is that it’s an art form about using anything you may find around you to create an interesting or meaningful image. The only time I might use AI in my photos directly, is when it’s inconsequential to the authenticity of the scene. This can be things such as removing pieces of dust that were on the lens or camera sensor, or cleaning up some small distracting elements in the photo. I may use certain techniques like compositing (combining several photos of the same scene) to create a surreal-looking photograph. Such as (this) composite image of the Fodnes-Mannheller ferry crossing. I might also do a really long exposure, this can have different results such as creating a dreamy image with washed out moving elements, or showing the passage of time in another way. These techniques does not add anything that was not present in the scene, they present the scene in a way that is different to how we usually see them. Often this is my goal when taking a photograph, to show familiar sights in a totally new perspective.
